Fun things to do every week
There are some regular events on each week. There is often a few of the livelyfish crowd at every event. It’s a great way to get out and catch up with people you know plus meet new people at the same time.
Weekly
Monday – Steak Night @ Beach House Bar & Grill – most Mondays

A few of the livelyfish crowd are heading to the Beach House at Sunshine Plaza for an informal dinner on Monday Steak Night with $8.90 Rump Steak with Chips & Salad.

Monday – Originals @ Key Bar & Restaurant – Maroochydore

Come out every Monday night with the livelyfish crowd for a great night of local Original music. Top class musicians and a fun crowd.
When: 7.00 pm till late. Open Mic from 9.00 pm.

Tuesday & Thursday – Outrigger Canoes @ Noosaville
Noosa Outrigger Canoe Club

Social Paddling – Great way to try Outrigger Canoeing and build up your strength and fitness. Six people to each boat.
When: every Tuesday & Thursday at 8.45 am
Where: Chaplin Park, Mill St, Noosaville ( rear of Noosa Yacht Club) – Map
Parking: Park in Lions Park near Noosa Yacht Club and walk across the pedestrian bridge over the canal to Noosa Outrigger Canoe Club.
Cost: $10.00
Note: You must be able to swim.

Tuesday – Gadabouts @ Coffee Club – Coolum Beach

Note: Gadabouts group is having a break until 12 January.
The Gadabouts gather at Coffee Club – Coolum Beach, for coffee and chat every Tuesday. Bring your ideas for any social activities.
Where: The Coffee Club, Coolum Beach (just up from MacDonalds on the Esplanade)
When: 10.30 am
Host: This event is being hosted by Max from Gadabouts 5446 5045 who has kindly volunteered to help make it as easy as possible for others, especially newcomers, at this event.
Gadabouts plan a diverse rang of local social activiies – dancing, cultural and just fun! Couples and singles.
Tuesday & Friday – Social Tennis at Pomona Tennis Club

A few of the livelyfish crowd play social tennis at the Pomona Tennis Club, located at the showground, every Tuesday morning from 9 am to 12 noon. Anyone interested in playing is welcome to join in. The cost is $2.50 to cover costs.

Wednesday – Walk on the Beach @ Mooloolaba

Join us for a morning walk on beautiful Mooloolaba beach followed by coffee at Emjays Coffee.

When & Where: Emjays Coffee – 47 Mooloolaba Esplanade, Mooloolaba – 7.30 to 8.00 am onward.
Thursday – Noosa Fabulous 50s & 60s Group @ Madissons

The Noosa Fabulous 50s & 60s Group gathers for coffee every Thursday at 10 am at Madissons – cnr. James Street & Gympie Terrace, Noosaville.

Saturday – Laughter Group @ Cotton Tree Park

Meet by the path between the jetties then gather afterwards at Mio Spazio across the street for Brunch/coffee. If its wet we simply do coffee/brunch at 9! We have only been rained out twice in 3 years! So its worth the drive even if its rainy at your place!

Saturday – Caloundra Fab 50’s @ Mediterranean Cafe

Caloundra Fab 50’s is a group of likeminded over 50 singles wanting to make new friends in a non-threatening environment. This group (formerly Mike’s Coffee Mob) has been operating for over 6 years, and has proven to be ideal for those wanting to get out and meet new friends. The group comprises people who have become recently single, new arrivals to the coast, or just trying to make a new start in life. We attend Coffee (Sat). Club Dinners, BBQ’s, Live Theatre, and other similar functions.
If you would like to join , simply come along to our Saturday Coffee afternoons.
When: Every Saturday at 2 pm till 4pm.
Where: Mediterranean Cafe, Bulcock St(in the walkway next to ANZ Bank).
Cost: No fees or charges – simply pay your own costs. We try to keep things as inexpensive as possible.

Uncle Bob’s Jug Band – the 1st Sunday of every month
This unique band is terrific fun and makes for a very enjoyable Sunday afternoon. Kawana Surf Club, Pacific Blvd. Buddina – 2.00 pm onwards. Telephone the Kawana Surf Club on 54448642 for the courtesy bus.
Jim’s Group @ Tewantin RSL – first Wednesday of each month
Are you single and over 55, looking for social events, such as dining out, social tennis and barbeques? The group meets for dinner at the Tewantin RSL club on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:15 pm (table 17) and arrange the next dinner at another restaurant. For information contact Jim 5448 0473 after 3 pm.
Nambour Blues Club – 1st Thurs. of the month
The Royal George Hotel is the place to Boogie to the Blues. Jam Coordinators, Al Hensley and Bob Lee, along with the house band and a host of guest performers, are keeping the Blues alive on the coast. Royal George Hotel, Currie St, Nambour – 8:00 pm.
Blues Night @ Noosa Yacht Club – 3rd Wed. of each month

Blues at Palmwood’s Pub – the 3rd Saturday of the month
Three live bands and a great crowd. No cover charge and drinks are reasonably priced. Starts at 5.30 pm and continues to around mid-night.
Peregian Originals – every 1st & 3rd Sunday each month
Pack an Esky and bring your chair or a blanket for a lazy Sunday afternoon of great original music. In the park in front of the Peregian Beach Surf Club – 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm.
Bluegrass Jam Session – 3rd Sunday of the month

Dear Neil,
I would like to thank you for the wonderful work you do in setting up this site and allowing us to put up our weekly dances. Many people like myself have enjoyed receiving your email’s each week. On behalf of “back beat Modern Jive” and the team we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Our dances on Sunday nights a now finished for 2009 and we look forward to our Xmas Dance Party this Saturday night 19th December. We have special guest’s coming up from Brisbane to show us their latest Routine Dance Displays, and of course the man in a Red suit will be their, DJ Ray will be playing a variety of dance styles for all to enjoy starts from 7.30pm $12.00 entry and BYO drinks & Nibbles.
